That Bright Morning 'Star' is Actually Venus Putting on a Show
Following its inferior conjunction, Venus has transitioned into the morning sky, dominating the pre-dawn horizon with brilliant luminosity.
Early morning commuters heading outdoors before sunrise have likely noticed a striking, intensely bright object low in the east-southeast sky. The object in question is the planet Venus, which recently underwent inferior conjunction on October 24 by passing directly between Earth and the sun.
Having transitioned from the evening sky into a prominent morning visibility phase, Venus is now rising well over 90 minutes before dawn, promising even more spectacular views in the coming weeks.
