Sam Taylor-Johnson’s Iconic ‘Crying Men’ Photo Series Featured in Major Solo Exhibition
Acclaimed British photographer Sam Taylor-Johnson's career-defining works, including selections from her legendary 'Crying Men' series, are on display in a major solo exhibition.
A comprehensive solo exhibition showcasing the career-defining work of internationally celebrated British photographer Sam Taylor-Johnson is currently welcoming art enthusiasts. Titled 'She Was I', the exhibition is on view at Jackson Fine Art in Atlanta through January 23, 2027, coinciding with the publication of her new Rizzoli monograph, 'Sam Taylor-Johnson: The Self and the Portrait'.
The exhibition explores Taylor-Johnson's enduring fascination with identity and self-representation through photography and film. Spanning from early black-and-white self-portraits taken as a student in London during the 1990s to her weightless balloon-suspended studio images and her 2020 Joshua Tree series 'Wired', the showcase offers a profound look into contemporary visual art.
