Nothing CEO Announces Company's First Screen-Free AI Device for December Launch

Carl Pei reveals that Nothing's upcoming AI-native hardware product features no new screen and operates independently of traditional apps.

Smartphone startup Nothing is preparing to introduce its first dedicated artificial intelligence product. CEO Carl Pei announced via social media that the company's inaugural 'AI-native' hardware will begin shipping in December.

According to Pei, the mysterious device functions as a productivity tool built with distinctive brand identity, featuring no new screen and operating independently of standard app frameworks. Eschewing the conventional pendant, pin, or smart glasses form factors chased by much of the industry, Nothing is charting a unique course for ambient consumer AI interaction without leaning into existing gadget tropes.
