Nexus Mods Mandates AI Disclosures for All New PC Gaming Mod Uploads
Leading PC gaming mod repository Nexus Mods has introduced mandatory disclosures, requiring creators to explicitly state if and how artificial intelligence was used in their uploaded work.
Nexus Mods, the premiere destination for PC game modifications, has instituted a mandatory disclosure framework for AI-generated and AI-assisted content. According to platform head Victor “Foledinho” Folmann, creators uploading new files must now formally declare whether artificial intelligence played a role in development.
Responding to recurring community concerns regarding transparency, any submissions tagged as AI-assisted will also carry a mandatory public explanation detailing the exact integration points. Platform UI adjustments will ensure these tags remain prominent across repository listings.
