Astronauts Complete Landmark 100th U.S. Spacewalk on the ISS

NASA astronaut Anil Menon and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk successfully installed a new roll-out solar array during the 100th U.S. spacewalk at the International Space Station.

Orbital operations reached a historic milestone as crew members aboard the International Space Station executed the 100th U.S. extravehicular activity (EVA) in outpost history. NASA's Anil Menon and the Canadian Space Agency's Joshua Kutryk completed a 7-hour and 11-minute spacewalk to upgrade the station's electrical power grid.

Working outside the Quest airlock in NASA EMU spacesuits, the astronauts unbolted and deployed the second-to-last upgraded ISS roll-out solar array (iROSA). The successful operation also marked the first spacewalk performed by a Canadian astronaut since April 2019.
